Lake Nightmare at Lake Shawnee's Dark Carnival

A haunt set at the famously cursed abandoned Lake Shawnee amusement park, surrounded by a dark carnival of attractions and paranormal tours.

Lake Shawnee never reopened after 1988, but its rusted rides never stopped drawing the curious and the cursed. The Dark Carnival wakes the grounds with fortune tellers, zombie paintball, and haunted hide-and-seek around the Lake Nightmare haunt. Year-round paranormal tours peak here when October fog settles over the water.
