☾ The Guise
Empress of Embers
A sovereign who refused to die quietly — burned upon her own funeral pyre, she rose from the ash still crowned, her body now a cooling crust of coal split by veins of living fire. She moves trailing smoke and the smell of cinders, every gesture revealing the molten glow that pulses beneath her cracked skin. This is regal grandeur fused with elemental destruction: a queen who is at once corpse, ember, and undying flame, terrifying not because she screams but because she radiates the slow, patient heat of something that will never fully go out.

❦ The Chamber
The Lullaby Ward
Before the house was a house, it was a foundling home, and this was the room where the smallest ones were kept. The matron, a porcelain-pale woman who never aged in the records, soothed every child to sleep and signed every certificate herself. When the fevers came, no child was ever moved out — only quieted. Their faces, it's said, she preserved the only way she knew how: in glaze and glass. Now the dolls keep her old vigil, arranged just so, waiting through the long nights for someone small enough to tuck in. They do not like to be left alone. They like even less to be watched.
