The train pulls out of New Hope into the night, its lanterns swallowed by the dark between stations as scares board with you. At the Lahaska grounds, walk-through mazes and a festival of fire pits and food trucks wait beyond the platform. Heart-stopping by design, it warns off the youngest riders. The rails carry you somewhere you may not want to go.
