Inside the manor the air turns thick and wrong, every room dressed for a death you can almost remember. Past the graveyard gates the figures move with the unhurried patience of things that own the place, and the corridors loop back on themselves like a bad dream. By day the lights come up gentle for the timid; by night the manor keeps no such mercy.
