In a near-future world stripped of spoken language, a young woman named Azrael flees a fanatical religious community that has marked her as an offering to a malevolent force lurking in the wilderness. Hunted across a dense and unforgiving landscape, she must fight for her life against both the true believers who demand her death and whatever nightmarish presence waits to receive her. Director E.L. Katz crafts a largely dialogue-free ordeal that leans hard on visceral tension and raw physicality. Samara Weaving anchors the film with a ferociously wordless performance that carries the audience through every punishing scene.
