The premise
In the dark, early days of a zombie apocalypse, complete strangers band together to find the strength they need to survive and get back to loved ones.

Set in the brutal opening weeks of a zombie outbreak, Black Summer drops viewers into chaos before the world has had any chance to adapt or organize. A desperate group of strangers—each with their own agenda and someone to find—must navigate a city overrun with the undead and each other. The series strips the zombie genre down to raw, breathless tension, ditching slow-burn lore in favor of relentless, episode-to-episode survival pressure. Trust is a luxury no one can afford.
