Set against the decadent backdrop of ancient Rome, this Italian exploitation entry depicts the reign of a Roman emperor whose madness manifests in escalating acts of violence, perversion, and savage vengeance against those around him. Far more interested in shock and depravity than historical accuracy, the film pushes exploitation cinema to its outer limits. Every court intrigue becomes an excuse for brutality, and no one within the emperor's orbit is safe from his appetites. It is a relentless descent into the darkest corners of unchecked imperial power.
