“The second chapter in the epic fantasy trilogy”
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov
🏆 8 wins & 10 nominations total
The premise
A man who serves in the war between the forces of Light and Dark comes into possession of a device that can restore life to Moscow, which was nearly destroyed by an apocalyptic event.
Horror Vault's take
Set in a shadowy Moscow where ancient forces of Light and Dark maintain an uneasy truce, Day Watch plunges deeper into the secret war between supernatural factions that define this hidden world. A soldier of the Night Watch finds himself at the centre of a crisis with stakes that could reshape the entire city — and the fragile peace holding it together. Blending Russian urban mythology with high-octane action, the film delivers a visually inventive follow-up that raises the conflict to apocalyptic proportions. Loyalties are tested and the line between good and evil grows dangerously thin.
