Based on a chilling real-life case, Four Lives follows the devastated families of four young gay men killed in East London, and their relentless battle to be heard by a system that repeatedly failed them. Stephen Merchant portrays the predator at the centre of events, while Sheridan Smith leads a cast capturing the raw grief and righteous fury of those left behind. The series is less a conventional thriller than a searing indictment of the failures that allowed a serial killer to operate unchallenged. It is difficult, important viewing that puts the victims — not the perpetrator — at the heart of the story.
