The premise

Two detectives working a brutal serial killer case in modern-day New Orleans find their investigation pulling them toward something far older and stranger than they bargained for. Centuries after the events of Mary Shelley's legend, both a brilliant and ruthless scientist and his infamous creation appear to still walk among the living — shaped by generations of genetic manipulation. The classic monster myth is transplanted into a contemporary crime thriller framework, blending procedural tension with gothic dread. What begins as a hunt for a killer gradually becomes a confrontation with questions about what it truly means to be human.
