The premise
In Italy, a woman fears her sister has been kidnapped; Inspector Enzo Avolfi fears it's worse. They team up to rescue her from a sadistic killer known only as Yellow.

Set against the shadowy streets of Turin, Giallo plunges viewers into a desperate hunt as a woman enlists a hard-edged American inspector to track down a sadistic killer who has claimed her sister as his latest target. The film pays homage to Italy's classic giallo thriller tradition while delivering visceral cat-and-mouse suspense. Time is brutally short, and the killer — known only as Yellow — is anything but ordinary. Adrien Brody anchors the film with an intense, world-weary performance as the detective who knows better than most what this monster is capable of.
