The premise
A man awakes to find himself trapped in a dirty, confined crawlspace. He barely has enough room to move. He also has no memory of why he's there, or why he's bleeding from a stomach wound. Apparently drugged, he occasionally 'zones out' of his surroundings as he tries to edge towards his way to freedom. But the more he explores, the more pain he has to endure, and the more frightening his predicament becomes.

A man regains consciousness in a filthy, impossibly tight crawlspace — wounded, disoriented, and with no idea how he got there. As he drags himself through the suffocating dark, the boundaries between reality and delirium begin to blur. Each desperate attempt to find an exit brings fresh agony, and the labyrinthine structure around him seems to have its own terrifying logic. Shinya Tsukamoto delivers a relentlessly physical and psychologically punishing ordeal in under an hour.
