The premise
A woman inherits a house in her ancestral village, but she's unaware that members of the community have been trying to locate and kill her to remove the curse that has plagued them for years.

When a young woman travels to her ancestral village hoping to claim a mysterious inheritance, she walks straight into a community bound by dark secrets and desperate hunger for retribution. The remote Indonesian village harbors a generations-old curse, and the locals have been waiting a very long time for someone exactly like her to arrive. Director Kimo Stamboel weaves suffocating village dread with striking shadow-puppet imagery and bursts of graphic violence. What begins as a journey of self-discovery curdles into a waking nightmare of blood, tradition, and belonging.
