The premise

Dr. Decker returns from Africa after a year, presumed dead. In that year, he discovered a way of growing plants and animals to an enormous size. He brings back a baby chimpanzee to test out his theory. As he has many enemies at home, he decides to use his chimp, 'Konga', to 'get rid of them'. Then Konga grows to gigantic proportions and wreaks havoc all over London!

Horror Vault's take

A botanist returns from Africa with a dangerous secret — a formula capable of growing living things to monstrous proportions — and a baby chimpanzee he plans to bend to his will. What begins as a scheme of personal vengeance soon spirals catastrophically beyond any hope of control. Konga is a gleefully outrageous slice of British B-movie sci-fi horror, evoking the spirit of King Kong in the fog-draped streets of London. Michael Gough anchors the madness with a deliciously unhinged performance as the increasingly unstable Dr. Decker.
