The premise
Mexican horror film about an American painter named Mary who is living in Mexico where she sells her works and also kills people for their blood. It turns out Mary is a vampire but not the traditional one with fangs. Since she has no fangs she must stab or slash the throats of her victims but soon she has a new man in her life as well as a mysterious man in black who appears to be doing the same type of murders.

A young American painter drifting through sun-drenched Mexico harbors a dark compulsion that her canvases can't contain — she needs blood to survive, and she isn't squeamish about how she gets it. Unlike the cape-and-coffin creatures of classic horror, this vampire operates up close and brutally personal, leaving a trail of slashed throats in her wake. A budding romance complicates her grim routine, but a shadowy figure in black who seems to share her appetite threatens to upend everything. Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary is a slow-burn 70s cult oddity that strips vampire mythology down to its most primal, carnal impulse.
