The premise

A skeptical news reporter is invited by the CEO of Nexecon Petroleum to document the safety of Colossus, the largest drilling and refining platform ever constructed. As the powerful drill tears through the seabed, a fissure forms, revealing a hidden mirror ocean teeming with prehistoric life. When a team is sent to access the damage, it comes face to face with the most powerful oceanic predator that ever lived: Carcharodon Megalodon.

Horror Vault's take

When a mammoth offshore oil platform punches through the ocean floor, it cracks open far more than rock — a vast, hidden ecosystem lurking below holds creatures the modern world was never meant to encounter. A journalist embedded to spin a good-news story quickly finds herself trapped between corporate spin and something ancient and enormous circling the rig. Escape from a confined, damaged structure is terrifying enough; doing it with the ocean's apex predator on the hunt is something else entirely. This low-budget creature feature leans into the terror of deep water and tight spaces to deliver a scrappy aquatic nightmare.
