The premise
Three girls discover that two men are willing to do anything to impress Mother and what impresses Mother is watching her sons commit acts of rape and murder. Now these women are prisoners and lowered to pawns in the game of checkers between two dim wits and their Maniac Mommy and the question becomes, can any of them escape, alive?

Deep in the backwoods, three women on a camping trip stumble into the clutches of a deranged family where two overgrown mama's boys compete to outdo each other in savagery — all to earn their mother's twisted approval. Equal parts exploitation shocker and pitch-black satire, this 1980 cult entry leans hard into grime and discomfort while never quite letting go of its darkly absurdist streak. The women at the centre are not passive victims, and the film's tone shifts in ways that will unsettle and surprise even seasoned horror fans. It's confrontational, grimy, and unapologetically ugly — very much a product of its era.
