When a young Russian couple snags what seems like a bargain BMW, they quickly discover the deal came with an unwanted extra. Strange and terrifying occurrences tied to the vehicle begin to unravel their lives, suggesting the car's past is far darker than any used-car listing would reveal. Set against a mundane contemporary backdrop, the film mines everyday consumer decisions for creeping dread. What should have been a straightforward purchase turns into a waking nightmare neither of them anticipated.
