The premise
See No Evil: The Moors Murders is a British two-part television serial directed by Christopher Menaul. It was produced by Granada Television and broadcast on ITV during May 2006. It tells the story of the Moors Murders, which were committed during the 1960s by Myra Hindley and Ian Brady, from the view of Hindley's sister Maureen Smith and her husband David.

Based on one of Britain's most infamous real-life crimes, this two-part ITV drama places viewers uncomfortably close to the Moors Murders through the eyes of those on the periphery — ordinary people bound by blood to something monstrous. Rather than sensationalising the killers, it charts how manipulation and coercion can ensnare even the closest witnesses to evil. The result is a slow-burning, deeply unsettling portrait of complicity and conscience set against the grey skies of 1960s northern England. Strong performances anchor a story that is as much about human psychology as it is about criminal horror.
