The premise

Three millennia after the first invasion of the Space Pirates Barban, a new set of Gingamen — Hyuuga, Gouki, Hayate, Hikaru, Saya — have been selected to protect the Earth. That is, unless the Barban are able to disrupt the ceremony!

Chosen by a forest clan steeped in ancient tradition, five young warriors inherit the mantle of the Gingamen to defend the planet against the ruthless Space Pirates Barban, who have returned after three thousand years of dormancy. Armed with elemental powers drawn from the Earth itself, the team must rise to meet a threat that nearly destroyed civilization long before their time.
