A college student named Scotty joins a small group of boarders in a sprawling seaside mansion presided over by the reclusive Mrs. Engels, whose son Mason acts as an unsettling intermediary between the tenants and whatever lurks above. When a fellow student turns up dead, detectives begin pulling at the threads of a deeply buried family history. The grand old house conceals more than cobwebs, and the remaining boarders grow increasingly vulnerable as the investigation closes in. Silent Scream blends old-school Gothic atmosphere with late-70s slasher tension in a way that rewards patient viewers.
