The premise

After a Soviet space station crashes into a New York City subway tunnel, a species of venomous spiders is discovered, and soon they mutate to gigantic proportions and wreak havoc on the city.

When a derelict Soviet space station comes crashing down into the New York City subway system, it brings with it something far more dangerous than debris. A species of spiders exposed to alien biology begins to evolve at an alarming rate, threatening to overwhelm the city from the tunnels up.
