The premise

CDC researcher Abby Arcane investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but she soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.

When CDC investigator Abby Arcane arrives in a decaying Louisiana town to contain a mysterious illness, she quickly realizes the swamp itself seems to be the source of something far older and stranger than any known pathogen. Rooted in DC Comics lore, this short-lived but visually ambitious series leans into gothic atmosphere and practical creature effects to deliver horror that feels both primal and deeply personal. The murky bayou becomes a character in its own right — beautiful, suffocating, and alive with something that defies easy explanation.
