The premise

Toledo, Spain, 1997. The residents of Río Blanco have accepted the settlement of Moroccan seasonal workers in Fuensanta. Coexistence brings tensions, known by Sonia, an NGO leader; Father Ángel, the local priest; and Safir, the imam. What they don't imagine is that Fuensanta's foundations hide something capable of unleashing their worst nightmares, regardless of their beliefs or prayers.

In a rural Spanish town in 1997, an uneasy peace between local residents and newly arrived Moroccan seasonal workers is tested not only by simmering social tensions but by something far older and darker lurking beneath the soil of Fuensanta. When the hidden evil stirs, it does not discriminate — no prayer, no faith, and no belief system offers protection. The series weaves real human prejudice with creeping supernatural threat, using the charged atmosphere of late-nineties rural Spain to unsettling effect. Expect mounting dread as the community's fragile bonds are pushed to their absolute limits.
