The premise

4400 centers on the return of 4400 people who, previously presumed dead or reported missing, reappear on Earth. Though they have not aged physically, some of them seem to have deeper alterations ranging from superhuman strength to an unexplained healing touch. A government agency is formed to track the 4400 people after one of them commits a murder.

Horror Vault's take

When 4400 missing persons suddenly reappear without having aged a day, the world is left scrambling for answers. A dedicated government agency steps in to monitor the returnees, but the investigation grows complicated as some of the 4400 begin exhibiting strange and powerful abilities. Not all of them are glad to be back — and not all of them are safe to be around. What happened to these people, and why, forms the unsettling spine of this slow-burn sci-fi mystery.
