The premise

During an unexpected, deadly second wave of the coronavirus outbreak in New York City, two neighbors, Rachel and Lily, navigate life in quarantine. While Rachel juggles her many telemedicine clients as well as a shaky, passionless marriage, Lily is upstairs just trying to convince her Wall Street clientele that her very specific skillset is still just as valuable over video as it was in person.

Set against a second deadly wave hitting New York City, The Bite traps two very different neighbors inside their apartment building as the world outside grows increasingly dangerous. Upstairs and down, a doctor managing a crumbling marriage and an escort reinventing her business over video chat discover that the real threats may be closer than they think. Equal parts sharp social satire and creeping dread, the series uses the confined, Zoom-era setting to skewer class, connection, and desperation. A zombie outbreak has rarely felt quite this uncomfortably close to home.
