The premise
Following the Thai custom to cheat death and rid oneself of bad luck, a man who lays in a coffin for an evening subsequently experiences a series of terrifying incidents.

Rooted in a real Thai Buddhist ritual, The Coffin follows a man who lies inside a coffin overnight in hopes of cheating death and escaping his misfortune — only to find that fate is not so easily outfoxed. What begins as an act of desperate faith quickly unravels into a haunting ordeal as strange and terrifying events close in around him. The film weaves together Thai spiritual tradition with creeping supernatural dread, grounding its scares in genuine cultural belief. It's a ghost story with a soul, asking whether some debts can ever truly be escaped.
