The premise

Set against the gritty backdrop of Chicago, this TV continuation of the iconic Exorcist mythology follows two priests — one seasoned, one wrestling with his own beliefs — as they are drawn into a deeply disturbing case threatening to tear a family apart from the inside out. The series takes its time building dread, grounding the supernatural in raw human emotion and crisis of faith. Fans of slow-burn religious horror will find plenty to unsettle them across its run.
