The premise

In 19th century Baltimore, Isabel Porter, a girl stricken with grief from her parents' untimely death, voluntarily checks herself into the Rosewood Institute. Subjected to bizarre and increasingly violent pseudo-scientific experiments in personality modification, brainwashing and mind control, she must escape the clutches of the Rosewood and exact her revenge, or else be forever lost.

Set in the shadowy corridors of 19th century Baltimore, The Institute follows a grief-stricken young woman who seeks solace within the walls of the mysterious Rosewood Institute — only to find herself ensnared in something far more sinister. What begins as voluntary admission quickly descends into a nightmare of psychological manipulation and brutal experimentation. With her sense of self under relentless assault, Isabel must find the will and the means to fight back before the institution consumes her entirely.
