The premise
Trapped on a remote island by a hurricane, a group discover a doctor has been experimenting on creating half sized humans. Unfortunately, his experiments have also created giant shrews, who when they have run out of small animals to eat, turn on the humans.

A routine supply run turns into a nightmare when a boat captain and his crew find themselves stranded on a remote island during a hurricane — and they are not alone. A reclusive scientist's radical experiments have produced something far more dangerous than anyone anticipated, and as the storm rages outside, a relentless pack of giant, flesh-hungry shrews closes in. With nowhere to run and numbers dwindling, survival becomes a grim calculation. This low-budget late-'50s creature feature delivers old-school monster-movie thrills rooted in Cold War-era fears of science gone wrong.
