The Night Child1975
“Keep telling yourself: "She's not just a child"...”
Directed by Massimo Dallamano
The premise
The titular medallion is a gift presented to young Nicole Elmi. Once the girl places the gift around her neck, she is possessed by the spirit of a dead child who was a murderess.
Horror Vault's take
A seemingly innocent gift — an antique medallion — sets off a chain of dark events when it finds its way to a young girl named Nicole. What begins as a simple trinket soon reveals itself to be a conduit for something ancient and murderous, blurring the line between child and the malevolent spirit that claims her. This 1975 Italian chiller leans into the dread of watching innocence consumed by an unseen evil force. Fans of European supernatural horror will find a quietly unnerving atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll.
