The premise
A group of supernatural demon hunters known as "Counters," each with unique abilities, disguise themselves as employees of a noodle restaurant, while tracking down evil spirits that terrorize the mortal world.

By day they serve noodles; by night they battle demons. The Uncanny Counter follows a ragtag team of gifted hunters — each bonded to a spirit from the afterlife — as they pursue malevolent entities preying on the living. Rooted in a Korean webtoon, the series balances high-octane supernatural showdowns with surprisingly tender character backstories involving grief, trauma, and belonging. The result is a propulsive genre blend that hits harder emotionally than most straight-up action shows.
