The premise
After Shideh's building is hit by a missile during the Iran-Iraq War, a superstitious neighbor suggests that the missile was cursed and might be carrying malevolent Middle-Eastern spirits. She becomes convinced a supernatural force within the building is attempting to possess her daughter Dorsa, and she has no choice but to confront these forces if she is to save her daughter and herself.

Set against the suffocating backdrop of 1980s Tehran during the Iran-Iraq War, this Persian-language horror film follows Shideh, a mother trapped in a city under siege — and possibly under something far darker. When a missile strikes her apartment building, ancient whispers of cursed spirits begin to seep into her world, and her young daughter Dorsa grows increasingly strange. What unfolds is a taut battle fought on two fronts: the very real terror of wartime and a creeping, intimate supernatural dread that refuses to be reasoned away.
