In a fog-shrouded 19th-century European village, a series of brutal attacks by a monstrous creature throws the community into terror. A young apprentice physician, eager to prove himself, throws his lot in with a seasoned band of professional monster hunters determined to track the beast down. As the body count rises and paranoia spreads among the villagers, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur.
