Matvey arrives with a hammer and a mission, but the situation spirals far beyond anything he bargained for as old secrets and festering grudges explode into gleeful, over-the-top carnage. Director Kirill Sokolov delivers a claustrophobic pressure cooker that owes as much to grindhouse excess as it does to darkly comic crime cinema. Fans of stylised ultraviolence will find plenty to savour in this confined, escalating nightmare of a family reunion.
