The premise
A mysterious diver hiding in Amsterdam's canal system embarks on a rampage of gruesome murders, terrifying city officials and leaving few clues for the city's best detective, who doesn't suspect that both his new girlfriend and twelve-year-old daughter may be closer than he is to finding the killer.

Beneath the picturesque canals of Amsterdam lurks a wetsuit-clad killer whose brutal underwater attacks leave the city gripped by fear. A determined detective races to unmask the murderer, but the investigation hits dangerously close to home when the people he loves most become entangled in the case. Dutch director Dick Maas delivers a stylish late-80s slasher that trades suburban stalking for the eerie waterways of one of Europe's most iconic cities. Equal parts police procedural and horror, it's a cat-and-mouse thriller with a genuinely unforgettable setting.
