Christmas takes a sinister turn when a fractious family wakes to find their home sealed shut by an impenetrable black substance, cutting them off from the outside world entirely. Their only link to reality is the television, which begins issuing ominous instructions that some members feel compelled to follow. As tensions already simmering beneath holiday pleasantries boil over, the family must decide how much trust to place in an unknown authority — and in each other. What starts as a locked-room mystery escalates into something far darker and more visceral.
