The premise

A platoon of eagles and vultures attacks the residents of a small town. Many people die. It's not known what caused the flying menace to attack. Two people manage to fight back, but will they survive Birdemic?

Horror Vault's take

When a quiet coastal town is suddenly besieged by waves of violently attacking eagles and vultures, two ordinary people find themselves desperately fighting for their lives against an inexplicable avian menace. Equal parts nature-run-amok horror and low-budget spectacle, Birdemic: Shock and Terror has earned a devoted cult following for its fearlessly earnest approach to chaos and catastrophe. The film balances a blossoming small-town romance with increasingly frantic survival set-pieces as the body count rises and answers remain elusive. Whether experienced as genuine thriller or beloved cult oddity, it delivers an unforgettable — and utterly unique — cinematic ride.
