The premise
During a local fishing contest, people are being mysteriously dragged into the lake and killed by a giant fish hook. After a sufficient number of deaths, the killer is finally revealed.
Horror Vault's take
A lazy summer fishing tournament on a Wisconsin lake turns deadly when contestants and bystanders start vanishing — reeled in by something far more sinister than any fish. Blood Hook leans hard into its ridiculous premise, serving up campy kills with a winking sense of humor that never lets the tension get too serious. It's low-budget regional horror at its most unabashedly goofy, finding creative ways to weaponize the great outdoors.
