The premise

A series of missing children in a quiet neighborhood sets the stage for one teenager's unsettling investigation — all while confined to her home under house arrest. What begins as neighborhood rumor slowly takes on terrifying shape as the ancient Latin American legend of the Cucuy proves harder to dismiss than anyone expects. Trapped and increasingly desperate, she must convince those around her of a threat they refuse to see. The film draws on deep-rooted folkloric fear to deliver a creature-driven thriller with a cultural edge.
