When nuclear war reduces civilization to ash, a ragged band of strangers stumbles upon a fortified valley retreat and its wary owner — one of the few prepared men left alive. Forced together by circumstance, the survivors quickly discover that the biggest threats may not be lurking outside the fence. Radiation is doing something terrible to the living creatures around them, and not everyone in the group may be entirely trustworthy — or entirely human for much longer.
