Death Tube: Broadcast Murder Show2010
“Log in at your own risk.”
Directed by Yôhei Fukuda
The premise
Tragedy begins with curiosity. The on-line killer website broadcasts scenes of death in real time. Viewers are drawn to the website through curiosity, and then are shocked by what they see. Against their will, random viewers are selected to enter the killing game. It is literally a life and death situation to survive in this cruelest of spectator sports.
Horror Vault's take
When an online broadcast begins streaming live deaths to curious viewers, those who stumble upon the site soon find themselves pulled into something far more sinister than shock content. Random individuals are forcibly conscripted into a lethal game they never agreed to play, where the audience and the arena may be closer than they think. This Japanese splatter entry channels early-2000s internet paranoia into a savage survival gauntlet with puzzle-laden death traps. Escape is the only goal — but the rules keep changing.
