Decades after an alien microbe silently touches down in the Siberian wilderness, a classified American research outpost in Alaska becomes ground zero for catastrophe when scientists attempt to clone the organism. When all contact with the facility cuts out following a fragmented distress call, a joint team of military and scientific personnel is dispatched to uncover what — or what's left — is inside. What greets them in the depths of that locked-down lab defies every protocol they were trained for.
