The premise
When an unknown underwater object disables an American nuclear-powered submarine and attacks a submerged Arctic research complex, a scientific expedition flies to the North Pole to investigate these incidents as well as the sudden, inexplicable rise in temperature that threatens to melt the ice cap and flood the surface of the world.

Something massive and unknown is lurking beneath Arctic waters, and it has already taken out a nuclear submarine. As global temperatures spike without explanation, a team of scientists races to an isolated underwater research station at the North Pole to uncover the source of the attacks before the world's ice caps vanish forever. Trapped in a freezing, hostile environment with a deadly creature closing in, the crew must survive long enough to warn the surface. This is lean, B-movie creature-feature tension set against an apocalyptic backdrop.
