The premise
When his experiments into a powerful new anesthetic go hideously awry, respected physician Dr. Jekyll transforms into the hideous Jack Hyde. As his wife Elisabeth passes her time in charitable work, rehabilitating the district's fallen women, Hyde is drawn into an escalating cycle of lust and murder that seems to know no bounds.

A Victorian physician's experiments with a potent new substance unlock a monstrous alter ego, blurring the line between respectable society and the city's shadowy underworld. Anthony Perkins brings his signature unsettling intensity to a loose retelling that fuses the Jekyll and Hyde legend with Jack the Ripper mythology. As the body count rises in the fog-drenched streets, the respectable world his wife inhabits grows ever closer to the darkness he cannot control. Equal parts period Gothic nightmare and lurid psychosexual thriller, this is a decidedly adult twist on a classic horror archetype.
