The premise
On November 18th 2011 a small Danish film crew disappeared in the woods of northern Sweden without a trace. One year later, their footage was leaked by a hacker group now known as Pandoras. This is the crew's unsettling and disturbing footage.

Recovered and leaked by a shadowy hacker collective, the raw recordings capture a descent into something deeply, inexplicably wrong. Shot in the unnerving tradition of found-footage cinema, Encounters leans hard into the mystery of the unexplained, building an atmosphere of creeping dread through suggestion and sparse, naturalistic filmmaking. What starts as an ordinary expedition becomes something far more disturbing than anyone anticipated.
