Reptilicus1961
“Invincible...Indestructible! What was this awesome BEAST born 50 million years out of time?”
Directed by Sidney W. Pink
The premise
A portion of the tail of a prehistoric reptile is discovered in Denmark. It regenerates into the entire reptile, which proceeds to destroy buildings and property and generally make a nuisance of itself. It can fly, swim, and walk, and has impenetrable scales, which makes it difficult to kill.
Horror Vault's take
When a drilling expedition in Lapland unearths a frozen fragment of an ancient reptilian creature, Danish scientists unwittingly set in motion a catastrophe they cannot contain. The recovered tissue begins to regenerate at an alarming rate, eventually giving rise to a colossal prehistoric beast unlike anything the modern world has faced. Capable of moving through sea, air, and land alike, Reptilicus proves devastatingly resistant to conventional weapons as it cuts a destructive path across Denmark. This Scandinavian entry into the golden age of giant-monster cinema delivers city-stomping mayhem with a distinctly European flavour.
