Horror Vault's take

On a remote, wind-battered island off the Cornish coast, a lone wildlife volunteer carries out the same monotonous routine day after day — until something in the landscape begins to answer back. Enys Men is a slow-burn descent into psychological unraveling, where the boundary between observer and the observed starts to dissolve. Drawing on the rich tradition of British folk horror, director Mark Jenkin crafts a film of mood over narrative, where grain, silence, and ritual do the heavy lifting.
