When a young woman travels to claim her newly inherited castle, she finds herself surrounded by unsettling secrets — a brooding nobleman presides over the estate, and the pale, alluring women who dwell within begin to raise deeply troubling suspicions. Something is very wrong behind those ancient walls, and the further she ventures into the castle's mysteries, the harder it becomes to find a way out. This late-1960s European horror entry leans into Gothic atmosphere and old-world dread, with Anita Ekberg lending striking screen presence to the lead role.
