The premise
In 1666, a colonial town is gripped by a hysterical witch-hunt that has deadly consequences for centuries to come, and it's up to teenagers in 1994 to finally put an end to their town's curse, before it's too late.
Horror Vault's take
The final chapter of Netflix's Fear Street trilogy plunges back to a Puritan colonial settlement in 1666, where a community's paranoia ignites a deadly witch-hunt that will cast a shadow across centuries. The film then hurtles forward to 1994, where the teenagers from the earlier installments must weaponize the horrifying truths they've uncovered to finally sever the curse binding Shadyside to its dark past. Uniting the trilogy's dual timelines into a single reckoning, this conclusion raises the stakes by revealing how superstition and lies can doom generations of innocent people. It's a satisfying payoff that recontextualizes everything that came before it.
